It's from a big, beautiful bouquet that my darling brought home for me. Of course it's an abstraction of said bouquet.. but still - I'm hoping to memorialize it. :) Flowers are my favorite things to paint because to me, they represent nature in its most perfect form. Flowers are colourful, fragrant, beautiful - they are food and they are medicine. Sometimes I cannot believe that from tiny seeds these examples of perfection will grow so large, with everything they need to form new life. If there isn't a divine intelligence guiding life on this planet and beyond, then please, someone explain to me why flowers are what they are.
