Variety of Sunflowers - latest work

close to completion - 36" x 48" oil on canvas
I've been working a lot lately, which feels great.  I have one more blank canvas at the ready and know that I will be doing an image of lily pads which have started to turn fall colours - a bit of a departure from the macro florals, but still on point, I think.  The painting pictured above is the largest I've ever undertaken and it needs about another hour and a half to complete.  I am going to let it set for a day and stare at it from time to time to figure out exactly where it needs more love.

I'm hoping to update my website soon with two others that I completed a week or so ago, and I've recently gotten past the jury process for entry into a major art festival in Westport, Ontario scheduled for the last weekend of August.  Busy, busy!
