Rain, Rain! yay!

Rainy days were not my favourite until I started planting vegetables a few summers ago. I didn't realize how much time it takes to water - particularly on a property like mine, with disctint areas on all sides - all of which need attention from the same lonely water valve.. I have uncoiled and recoiled that hose too many times to count this season alone.

But glorious rain has come after two weeks or more of sunshine. Don't get me wrong - I LOOOOOOVE the sunshine too!

I thinned the corn today. It was painful. I did not enjoy pulling out perfectly good corn plants and tossing them into the compost. But they tell me I must - for the good of the whole.

the latest painting is above, and can be found for auction HERE.

I hate my hoses as well, constant wrestling match here. And they usually win. Good luck with the corn, I can imagine it is almost painful to thin it when they look perfectly fine to you.
Painting is very nice, I like when artists capture looks in the eyes , and I like the Madonna type angels more than the bell-shaped children angels. I guess because I am getting old !! take care, Gina

Thanks Gine, I appreciate the compliment. :)
Still haven't needed to use the hose since last I wrote. It's rained quite a lot since then. On the one hand it's terrific but on the other.. welllllll.. I'm kind of looking forward to sun again!
(fickle!!)
