The Goddess is Almost Ready...

She's getting there... hat tip to Alphonse Mucha for the mad art deco stylin'

I figure I've got about 3 hours more work.. oil is hard to rush. All that waiting for layers to dry can make a girl go MAD! :) But in a good way, I guess. The show is next Saturday - My beloved is building me some display easels, and we're going to have to hope that the facility has shade available. (I've quizzed the person putting the show together about this.. but she's apparently pretty bad with details.) I'm up for chaos.. should be cool. :)

Have a temporary new favorite song. Two, actually: Tom Petty's Should Have Known, and USS's Anti-Venom. USS has another one called 2 15/16 which has a line in the chorus that puzzles me:
"You're like a tack in a paperclip factory."
is that a compliment? Or no?

That is another wonderful work. I have a book that I wish I could teleport to you as I think you'd like it. It is on the Pre-Raphealite Painters (Millais, Rossetti, etc.), and I know my spelling is off right now, so I apologize. I look forward to details of how the showing went.

you're right - I bet I'd love that book. :) PLUS, I love the idea of teleportation. ;)
At this point I'm also looking forward to some details about the show.. the woman in charge has not told me anything.. not the times, what the facilities will provide, directions, nothing!
