So I Guess I'm not A Sagittarius Anymore!

Due to shifting in the earth's rotation/orbit/poles whichever, there is speculation that the traditional astrological signs aren't correct.  This, I hear, has been the case forever, but we moved to only 12 instead of 13 signs at some point in history for some reason - possibly related to the paranoia surrounding the number 13 itself.  Who knows.  I certainly don't. 


But reasons for it aside, if this comes to pass, I will suddenly leave my half-man half-horse astrological identity and venture into a new imagery due to my having been born in between Nov. 29th and Dec 17th..  I give you Ophiuchus.

He looks cool.  I can dig it.


I don't know about this list of characteristics fitting me though:

# attracts good luck and fruitful blessings, (along with bad luck too, but who doesn't?)
# serpent holder, lofty ideals,
# a seeker of peace and harmony,
# doctor of medicine or science, natural-pathic, (okay no.. I'm no doctor, but I do use a naturopath from time to time)
# adds, increases, joins, or gathers together ( I used to do this, but I married a hermit)
# poetical, inventive nature, expanding qualities,
# seeks higher education and wisdom,
# overseer, supervisor of work, (I don't think this is particularly true)
# fame - either grand, or completely misunderstood, (misunderstood.. I mean really, really misunderstood)
# longevity, aspirations of healing the ills of man,
# architect, builder, reaches for the stars, figuratively and literally,
# tax assessor, or levys taxes, (this is just crazy.  I would never levy taxes.  I hate taxes!)
#  astrological talents, intuitive,
# large family indicated, but apt to be separated from them when young, (we left our family when I was 6)
# the number twelve holds great significance, 
# foresight and good fortune to benefit from hard times,
# has secret enemies in family or close associations,  (totally true)
# many jealous of this subject,
# notable father, apple of father’s eye when young, (This is backwards.. Dad loved me more as I got older.)
# high position in life expected [depending on aspects] highest fame and legend comes after death (yeah,probably.  I'm an artist after all.  ;)  )
# feelings of granular, wise, genius mentality,
# likes to wear clothing of vibrant colors, and plaids in particular,  (well, not so much.. BUT, I do paint in vibrant colours!)
# receives the favor of those in authority.  (If you consider favour to be getting fired or having eyes rolled at ... ;)  )


It's fun to look at this sort of thing from time to time, but I personally have a really hard time imagining that a constellation could really make me who I am.  Who knows though, I guess.   It's all up for interpretation.
