Future Harvest

We planted today.

Due to a giant willow tree, the shadow of the house, and an overgrown lilac our yard does not have an abundance of areas that get sunshine all day long. There is a stretch down the middle, however, that does so this year we built a new bed! We hope (fingers crossed) that corn, watermelons and beets will grow along side the onions leeks and peppers we've planted.

It's a bit overcrowded, we know. And a tad ambitious, probably. But along with the potatos (red & white) the yellow & red tomatos, the lettuce, beans, cucumbers and carrots along with a bunch of herbs, strawberries and rhubarb we are going to tend the heck out of our new additions in the hopes that we can eat fresh, organic produce this season and well into the winter!

Joys of spring! Isn't this the GREATEST season?

And I've been painting, too:

This and others are up for auction ON EBAY right now
